It can be imagined that this is winter. I wonder if the artist was reading a book in the same room with a cup of coffee when she noticed the cats lying there. Bathed in the warm afternoon sunlight, I felt a sense of love and warmth for the cats, who were snuggling and sleeping with an air of security. I feel as if the artist's gaze is poured directly into the work.The whole picture is very quiet and warm. Seeing this picture, unconsciously I become calm. I just want to feel peace. The quiet warmth brings people together, not to mention animals. Cats are very cold and in winter, they prefer warm places near the stove and try to warm themselves with human heat by snuggling close to humans or on their knees. The two cats seem to have fallen asleep while snuggling up to each other for warmth. Since the scene is bright, they seem to have fallen asleep comfortably in a sunny room.kANDA YukO二匹の猫がくっついているのは、冬の間と考えられる。猫はとても寒がりで、冬になるとストーブ近くの暖かい場所を好み、人間のそばに寄り添ったり膝の上に乗ったりして、人の熱で温まろうとする。二匹の猫は、お互いに暖を取るために寄り添ったまま、眠ってしまったようだ。画面が明るいので、陽だまりの部屋の中で、気持ちよく眠りに落ちたのだろう。作者は、同じ部屋で静かにコーヒーを飲みながら本を読んでいる時、横になった猫たちに目を遣ったのだろうか。ぽかぽかとした午後の陽光を浴びながら、安心しきった様子で寄り添って眠る猫に愛おしさを感じ、温かい気持ちになった。作品には、そのような作者の視線が、そのまま注がれているように感じる。画面はとても静かで、温かい。この画面を見ていると、心が静かになり、温もりを感じる。静かな温もりは、動物はもちろん、人間同士を結び付ける。神田 有子カク シュライGuO SHuLEI
