Because of the merits of trains, she fell in love with them. She really likes the sound of trains, the shape of the railroad tracks, and the wind at railroad crossings as the train passes by. "I hope you can feel the relationship between the train and the artist”, she said.Her relationship between the theme "connections" and the artwork is that when she goes back to her hometown, when she goes back to where she lives, wherever she goes, she always gets on trains, and changes trains. You can go to lands that you have never visited be-fore. Therefore, the trains and the railroad tracks on which they run are special to her in the ability to "connect" various places.NAkAMuRA MEIkA彼女が作品を作ったきっかけは、大学の風景課題の題材にする風景を探しに散歩していたとき、線路に心を惹かれ電車が来るタイミングで写真を撮ったとのこと。作品に対する作者の思いとしては、彼女は地元の茨城にいた頃はほとんど電車に乗らなかったため、大学生になって上京してから電車をよく利用するようになり、電車の良さに気づき電車が好きになり、電車の音や線路の形、電車が通り過ぎる時の風や踏み切りがとても好きになったとのこと。その電車と作者の関係を感じてもらえる作品になっていたら嬉しいと作者である彼女は語った。彼女の感じる「connections」と作品の関わり・キーワードなどは、地元に帰るときも、今の生活しているところに戻るときも、どこに行く時もいつも電車に乗っていて、電車は乗り継いで、これまで一回も訪れたことがない土地まで行くことができる。そのため、電車とそれが走って行く線路は、私にとって色々な場所まで「つながっていく」ことのできる特別な存在であると感じるそうだ。この作品は作者と世界・作者と未来を「繋ぐ」ことが表された作品なのかもしれない。中村 明花加茂 千晶kAMO cHIAkI
