4 女子美術大学、ラフバラ大学の合同プログラムの開催が6回目となる2020-21年は、COVID-19の大流行により、新たなつながり方を模索することが課題となりました。女子美術大学の海外芸術研修では、従来は4週間英国に滞在していましたが、当該年度の学生は一部をオンラインで履修し、再び海外渡航が可能になれば、残りの期間は英国に赴くことができればと思っております。また、通常ラフバラ大学のファインアートギャラリーで1週間開催している合同ポストカード展を、今回初めてラフバラ大学のウェブサイト上で2021年3月1日から長期にわたって開催することができたのも良い結果でした。これにより、日本からも直接この展覧会を楽しむことができるようになりました。また、今回のオンライン化により、女子美術大学とラフバラ大学の学生が制作した作品の一部を、女子美術大学の学生キュレーターコメントを通して本書に掲載することができるようになりました。2021年2月のオンライン合同アートクラスと英語クラスを準備し、また、新しくオンライン展覧会の場を開くために協力してくださったラフバラの先生方の厚意に大変感謝しています。女子美の学生は、合同授業によってオンラインでラフバラの学生に会い、作品のインスピレーションについて話し合ったり、アイデアの向上を示すスケッチブックを閲覧したりすることができIn 2020-21, the 6th time to hold the joint Joshibi University & Loughborough University programme, we were challenged to find new ways to connect due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Whereas previ-ously Joshibi University students spent 4 weeks in the UK for their Overseas Arts Studies course, this year’s students completed part of the course online, and hope to travel overseas for the remainder of the course once international travel once again becomes possible.A positive outcome is that for the first time, the joint postcard exhibition that is usually held for one week in the Fine Art Gallery of Loughborough Uni-versity, is this time being held online for a long-term period on the Loughborough University website since March 1 2021. This has enabled audiences in Japan to enjoy the exhibition. The new online format also allows the display of Joshibi student curator comments regarding a selection of artworks made by Joshibi and Loughborough students.We are very appreciative of the kindness of the Loughborough faculty who worked with us to arrange online joint art classes and English classes in February 2021, and to develop the new online exhi-bition. Joshibi students were able to meet Loughbor-ough students online in the joint art class, discuss the inspiration for their artworks and view sketch books showing the development of their ideas.新しいつながり方を見つけるFinding New Ways to Connect
