cuLTuRE AND uTILIZATION IN A NEW ERA66Culture and Utilization in a New Era : KAMO Chiaki私はコロナウイルスの影響で、これまでのように美術館に行くことはありませんでした。しかし昨年、文化資源学の授業を受けた際に、現在の美術業界には様々な問題があることを知り、芸術や文化資源について学び始めました。昨年勉強していた文化資源学は、既存の資源や使われなくなった資源をどのように活用し、将来に残すかを考える授業でした。文化資源学はまだ新しい分野です。受け継がれた文化を、日本でも世界でも有形か無形かを問わず「資源」として捉え、現代社会や文化に活かす方法を学びます。私たちの周りには文化資源が豊富にあります。この授業では、身近な文化資源を調査・掘り起こし、文化資源を活用・普及する方法を考えます。そして、受講した授業ではコロナウイルスの影響のもとで、見学可能な展示を見ることになりました。今回選んだ展覧会は、2020年10月17日から11月15日まで埼玉県大宮駅周辺で開催された「埼玉国際芸術祭2020」です。コンセプトの説明として、サイトではこのように言っています。【さいたまを、芸術と生活がひとつとなる「アート・サイト」に。さいたま国際芸術祭2020は、生活都市さいたまを舞台に開催される芸術の祭典です。さいたまトリエンナーレ2016から2回目となるさいたま国際芸術祭2020では、既存のジャンルに捉われない作品とプロジェクトを国内外のアーティストと共に展開していきます。多様な感性が交わり生まれる市民参加の「Art Sightama」としてさいたま国際芸術祭2020を開催します。】今回の展覧会はコロナが広まった時期に開催されたため、埼玉県内だけでなく、会場に行かなくても会場の雰囲気を楽しめるようにオンラインで作品が紹介されました。この展覧会には、文化資源学の先生がスタッフとして参加されていました。今回の展覧会で非常に重要だと思ったのは、使われなくなった資源（建物）の活用方法を探る展示だったということです。メイン会場は旧大宮市役所で、廃墟となった建物全体をアーティストが独自の表現で作品化しているのが特徴でしThe cultural resource science I was studying last year was a class to think about how to utilize exist-ing resources and resources that are no longer used and preserve them for the future. The exhibition I chose this time was “Saitama International Art Festival 2020” held around Omiya Station in Saita-ma Prefecture from October 17th to November 15th, 2020. The explanation of the exhibition concept on the website states.[Saitama becomes an “art site” where art and life are united. Saitama International Art Festival 2020 is an art festival held in Saitama, the city of living.
