76Sustainable Art Management : TANAKA Suzukaの画家、フランシスベーコン展は緊急事態宣言によって美術館が臨時閉館していたため、臨時休館延長中に閉幕することとなってしまった。この展示は１週間しか開催することができなかった。これ以外にも不本意ながら閉幕した展覧会があった。作品を保存するためではなく、見せる場として存在している美術館。古い作品ともなれば素材なども劣化していてデリケートになっている。この時期、梅雨ともなればカビなども繁殖しやすい。海外から日本に送るまでの間や、展示会場への搬入中に万が一破損などしたら大変だ。実際、過去にはそのような事故もあった。カナダ大西洋沖で1998年に起きたスイス航空111便の飛行機事故。この飛行機はピカソの作品を輸送していたが、事故によって作品は失われてしまった。この他にも展覧会中に事故などが起こる可能性もある。また、臨時休館ともなれば作品の状態を維持する必要があり、メンテナンスには手間がかかる。つまり、会期を延長するというのは美術館にとってもリスクが高まるため、多くの展覧会が中止などの決断に至った。しかしコロナの影響を受けたこれらに一つの対策としてオンラインというものが存在する。オンラインでの展示会は、交通機関を使うことなく複数の人が集まることもないので３密も避けられるのはもちろん、その場にいなくても、作品や空間と自分をリアルタイムでつなぐことができる。私も昨年からオンラインツールをよく利用している。「いつでも、誰でも、無料で」をコンセプトにしたHASARDというオンラインミュージアムも利用したし、海外の美術館のアート作品もオンライン上で鑑賞した。私ははじめの方こそ利便性があり、良いアイデアだと思っていたが、個人的にオンラインはリアルに比べて満足度が低いと思う。なぜなら、本物の作品を見ることができないからである。つまり、"本物の力 "を感じることができないのだ。また、それだけではなく、オンライン上の展覧会が、For example, the exhibition of Francis Bacon, the leading British painter of the 20th century, was held at the Shoto Museum of Art in April of this year. For example, an online museum called HASARD was born with the concept of “anyone, anytime, for free”.I’ve been often using online tools from last year. I also saw art works from overseas museums. And, I used HASARD. But, in my opinion, online is less satisfactory than real experience, because, you can’t see the actual artwork. So, I can’t feel the “force of the real”.And also, the question is whether online exhibitions can stand on their own as content that can generate their own revenue. Currently, it is a fact that many online exhibitions Many exhibitions borrow artworks from overseas museums. It would be a disaster if the works were to be damaged during the process of shipping from overseas to Japan or during the delivery to the exhibition venue. In fact, there have been such accidents in the past. There was a Swissair airplane crash in Switzerland in 1998, Flight 111. This plane was trans-porting Picasso’s work, but they were lost in the accident. Besides, there is the possibility of accidents and other prob-lems occurring during the exhibition. Also, if the museum is temporarily closed, it is necessary to maintain the condition of the works. It takes effort to maintain.
