Art in the Time of COVID-19 : TAN Kerun81学校など、芸術界のさまざまなシステムによって、1カ月足らずの間に数万点の作品が制作され、オンライン展示の形で「COVID-19」を共に闘うことになりました。 a bunch of numbers. They all have names. Of course, a full list of the dead should be published, a monument should be built, and these names engraved on it. No matter when or how the pandemic ends, we don’t want to see just happy moments and praises. It would not be so easy to forget a monument. The material of the tablet could be white marble or tiger skin stone. White marble is as white as jade, which is specially used for palaces, mausoleums and altar temples. It has a very high decorative effect. The three main halls of the Imperial Palace in Beijing and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests of the Temple of Heaven are precious examples. In addition, tiger skin stone used as the platform would be both economical and beautiful. I imagine the monument to be a square design, divided into three parts: the pedestal, and the body of the tablet. The platform would be divided into two layers, surrounded by marble balus-trades, with steps on all sides. The lower seat is in the shape of begonia. The upper part is engraved with the names of pandem-ic prominent figures. The lower part would be inlaid with white marble reliefs of figures fighting against pneumonia, and doing what they could, in a modest way, wearing a mask, not gath-ering, as the theme, plus some decorative reliefs. Embossed with images of key medical figures, the reliefs vividly illustrate the determination of Chinese medical workers to fight against COVID-19. The upper part on both sides of the tablet engraved with decorative patterns composed of red stars and grain ears, symbolizing the immortal spirit of workers who sacrificed their lives in the pandemic. Around the small pedestal are carved flowers, which symbolize the nobility and purity of the people’s respect for the heroes of the pandemic. The top of the monu-ment is a traditional national form of architecture. The shape of the monument would make people feel that there is both a national style and a distinct spirit of the new era.
