Example of the head of hijab cosplay.Motivation for the researchThis research made me realize the worldwide spread of Japanese Anime Otaku Culture. Previously, when I was watching the video of the video distribution service Tiktok, I watched a video of an overseas user who works in a room filled with goods of anime characters that he thinks he loves, or enjoys entertainment such as games. I saw this kind more than once. World Cosplay, a cosplay site that is representative of Japan's subculture, has many pictures of foreigners becoming full-fledged anime characters. On SNS such as Twitter and tumbler, many fan arts with English titles and personal impressions of anime works were found. It must have been only recently that such an Anime Otaku culture became widespread in Japan, but before I knew it, the number of people overseas who enjoyed the same Anime Otaku culture as that in Japan rapidly increased. However, the method of dissemination varies greatly from country to country. The reason I felt that way was "Hijab Cosplay". (Fig.1)Islamic women are not allowed to expose their skin, including their hair, and it is very difficult to cosplay. Instead, they came up with the idea of "hijab cosplay," which recreates an anime character by stacking several pieces of cloth on top of each other and wrapping them around, 63本研究の動機 この研究の動機は、私自身が日本のアニメオタク文化の世界的な普及を実感したことである。以前、動画配信サービスTiktokの動画を鑑賞していたところ、海外のユーザーが、大好きなアニメキャラクターのグッズで埋め尽くされた部屋で仕事に勤しんでいたり、ゲームなど娯楽を嗜む動画を複数目にした。日本のサブカルチャーの代表であるコスプレの専門サイトWorld Cosplayでは海外の人が本格的にアニメキャラクターになりきる写真も沢山掲載されている。TwitterやtumblerなどのSNSでは英語のタイトルやアニメ作品に対する個人的な感想を添えた二次創作物が多く見つかった。日本でこのようなアニメオタク文化が普及したのはつい最近のことのはずだが、いつの間にか海外でも日本と同等のアニメオタク文化を嗜む人が急速に増えていった。しかし、各国ごとに普及の仕方は非常に様々だ。そう感じたきっかけが「ヒジャブ・コスプレ」だ（図１）。イスラーム教徒の女性たちは髪を含めた肌を露出することが許されず、コスプレをするのは非常に困難である。その代わりに彼女たちが考えたのが、鬘代わりにヒジャブをアニメキャラクターの髪型に模倣して楽しむ「ヒジャブ・コスプレ」である。このように、国ごとBritish Anime Otaku Culture CircumstancesComparison with Japanese Anime Otaku Culture and its consideration戸田 冴香TODA Sayakaイギリスのアニメオタク文化事情日本のアニメオタク文化との比較とその考察
